Forced induction - 350z - vq35de

I'm in the market for some new wheels and am leaning strongly towards a new ('04) 350z. Right now i have a highly modified 2G DSM ('98 Talon TSi AWD) and will trade the AWD for RWD but could never give up the forced induction. While adding a turbo to a naturally aspirated engine is often more work then it's worth, i'd be content with a low PSI supercharger.

I've looked around and found some interesting information on a ProCharger SC. It uses an intercooler and has it's own oil reservoir!

Sooo... not knowing a lot about the vq35de specifics i'm hoping there are some knowledgeable people that would like to exchange some ideas... like;

1. How much overlap is there with the stock cams? Adding forced induction with a large valve overlap is like trying to pressurize a open ended tube. ProCharger (http://www.procharger.com/) estimates close to 400Hp and i don't see any requirement to change cams.

2. Does anyone have any experience with ProChargers? I have some questions and would like to ask someone not on there sales team.

Thanks!

yup, its only a rumor, but i think its true because nissan has experience with FI, and there is a demand for it with the new Z

I heard Nismo is about to release a TT kit that you can buy through Nissan.

Anyone know if the cylinder walls on the 350z engine are cast iron?

I would love to just see a turbo 350z. If they make a FI stock 350z the engine should handle the power it is making.

There haven't been many Z cars not available turbo, and I don't think Nissan plans on breaking the chain. I think when it comes, we will all be quite impressed. Not only by the numbers, but the reliability. Gotta love those Nissan engines ^_~
