truck suspension

I bought a '93 Nissan truck used, then gave my Mazda truck to my son. I noticed the Nissan rides a lot "harder" than the Mazda, really rmirroring all the imperfections in the road surface. Recently, a mechanic friend of mine said he thought the hard ride might be caused by the front suspension being jacked up to make the truck look level (rather than nose pointing slightly down). He said to take it to a mechanic who can remove the spacers installed and then have the front end realigned. I'm curious as to whether this makes sense to anyone out there or has anyone heard of this kind of situation affecting the vehicle ride. Thanks!

usually the rear of the truck is lowered to compensate for the forward slant. i don't think this is the case. unless the truck was once a lowrider. ( assuming the truck is a two wheel drive ) what year is the mazda?

I don't think the rear of the truck was lowered either based on the clearance in the wheel well. The Mazda is an '89.

If you have independent front suspension and if the torsion bars are cranked way up, it will produce a stiffer ride. To fix it all you do is release the bolt tensions a little bit, which will lower your front end about an inch to two, and you must do realignment too. I do suggest using a professional if you are not familiar with this. Good luck to you, hope this helps

Sounds like you have balljoint spacers, a lift kit. You can remove these and lower tbars..

Post some pix...
