Thoughts on Nissan titan

hi new to the board.... nice place you have here

likely this topic has come up many times before..... so sorry ahead of time for rehashing the same old thing

I was looking at getting a pickup... sortof torn between the tundra and the titan.... I'd likely go for the tundra for a reliability stand point... but that titan engine and tranny keep tugging at me

anyways just wondering what everybody thought about the new titan and whether nissans first attemp/platform/engine is going to go over smoothly...

Wonder how it'll stack up against fords new 150 ????

300+hp 375+ tq

they're only set up to sell 100,000.... not much by the big 3s standards.... seems they're easing into the market much like toyota did....

Definetly looks different than the others.... some love it.... others think its fugly..... personally i like it

Have to wait to see it in person....

heres a link with some pics....

i personally love it. a few years ago id say go for the tundra bc you never want the first year of anything. but nissan and most companies offer such good warranties that they build them alot better. if i could afford it, i'd get one

I've been waiting for Nissan to release a real 8 cyl truck or SUV. And the Titan and the Armada are it. I can't wait until they show up. We've had a lot of people come into the dealership asking about them and I think they are both going to be a great hit...but Im not to crazy about the Chrome Grill, other than that I think it is very stylish

I LIKE THE DIRECTION THAT NISSAN IS TAKING WITH THE NEW LINE-UP. I THINK NISSAN IS EXPECTING SALES TO BE STRONG CONSIDERING FOR THE WHOLE YEAR OF 2001 NISSAN ONLY SOLD 98,000 SENTRAS ( ACCORDING TO AUTOINTELL.)

I think that the Titan is a huge step for Nissan, sure the Frontier is a rather large pick-up but the Titan makes Nissan jump right in with the BIG 3 and their full size pick-ups. From what I have read and seen of the Titan it was a super 1st attempt to jump in the full-size truck market and surely will hang with the big boys

thanks for the replies

I like the look of the new crew cab, but not sure how functional a 5 1/5 foot bed would be.....

Can you still get a 5*8 sheet of plywood in the back....

thanks

i love the way it looks. my dad works at a nissan dealership so we get alot of inside info so to speak. it looks incredible, though the front is eh... the power output of the truck is unmatched. im happy that nissan has made a full-size pickup, they did really well on designing this truck.
