Question SR20DET Swap into Nissan Pickup

I am interested in swapping an SR20DET motor into a Nissan Pickup, but have never dealt with Nissan's before. I am wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on what year Nissan trucks this motor will fit in. I am also interested to know if it will drop right in or if I would need new motor mounts and what not. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or tell me where I can get more information pertaining to this swap. I would greatly appreciate it.

what year nissan truck? my brother has a 87 Nissan SE V6. That is the same motor as the 300zx. I drove a 87 Nissan 200SE V6 with the same motor and that motor ran very strong stock. That car had 4 wheel disk brakes and independent suspension. Just thought I'd mention the motor incase you didn't know.

Right on. I am looking at an early 90's Nissan Truck. I have been told they come with the KA24E so I am looking at years between 89-97, granted I can find one in my price range. Anyone selling a Nissan single cab truck with a 5 speed for under 3,000?

SR20 won't bolt right in because of the front sump pan.Trucks use a rear sump pan.VG30 should bolt right in but will require extensive rewiring if starting with a 4 cyl truck. You could always build a turbo'd KA too.

I could always modify the cross member in the front of the truck to make room for the front sump pan. Seems like it would be easier than rewiring the entire truck which i know from experience is a major pain in the ass.
