Yes I think they are rare, I think that link works now, If you try again you can see one of my F10s. Also, here is a picture of my Sentra XE
'88 Nissan XE 4WD: 1.6L engine / 5 speed transmission, 167,000 miles. This car has a good body with little rust and few dings and scratches, considering the mileage. The silver paint features a factory graphics package, and has a gray interior. Besides the 4WD option, air conditioning is about the only remarkable feature to note.
I bought this car from my father in 1994 and drove it daily as my work car for over two years. Due to some mechanical problems I parked it in my shop and have stored it for ten years. I'm told that this car is relatively rare in production figures, (a couple of Nissan garages found the car to be "unheard of"), from a service perspective.
I feel that this car offers potential as an interesting Nissan XE project effort . Because of the economy car disposition combined with very functional 4WD, and a rather unusual sporty body look, it even has four doors and a hatchback. Combine all of these elements, add some street performance upgrades, or, perhaps the off road custom route and the possibilities are endless in the fun category.
I personally have had countless good times with driving this car both on hardtop highways and up in the hollow. Any information, comments, or even your own shared tales concerning the Sentra XE 4WD, or, any Datsun made vehicle would be appreciated. Please watch for other vehicles to make their presence known in the near future on this page.
