1 Maxima down...1 to go!

Hi guys. I guess you could say I'm a Maxima guy. I bought a black on black '92 SE 5 speed way back in '95 with 30k miles on it and the obligatory dead VTC's. I held onto it for almost 10 years and 100k more miles before my wife wrecked it this past September. In that time the car was wonderful. I replaced all the window regulators and 2 of the ignition coils. Nothing else ever broke on the car and it ran perfect at 140k miles, still on the original clutch even!

I was very upset to lose that car and never thought I'd find something to replace it. I was wrong. My Dad called me one day to tell me the local Infiniti dealer just took a '91 SE in on trade with only 63k miles. He had actually been calling around looking around for a Maxima for me since I was so busy at work. I went down, saw it and immediately bought it for $2,500. It was in great shape and was pretty loaded. The funny thing is it's black on black leather just like my old '92 SE. Only difference is it has the auto, which my wife wanted.

I thought I couldn't be happier with it until I called to find out the service history on it. It turns out that at 55k miles, the guy who owned it before did a complete service on it at a Nissan dealer. New water pump, timing belt, master cylinder, starter, and even new Nissan struts. Not to mention all new hoses and belts! That takes care of my wife for a few years, now on to me.

I'm looking for an '02 SE 6-speed with as many options as I can come across. I'm hoping to get one in either silver, black, charcoal, or dark blue. I hope I can get as lucky with this one as I did with the '91.

Wow looks like you got a great find on that 91! I used to have a 92 Gxe black with tan leather 147k miles mint condition. I loved that car to death. Until some chick desided to run a stop sign and total her

well besides that, if you have any questions feel free to ask and remember the search feature is your friend! Welcome to the Forums!
