Hi everyone my names billy, i just picked up my 94 nissan sentra xe and to my suprise i think its a really fun car to drive however, i must say it is a 1.6 twin cam automatic, stock everything, this just will not do, in class today i was working on my friends stanza and i realized that the 2.4 5speed he has in that car looked like it would go into my little sentra makeing it a hell of a lot funner, now im wondering if anyone has ever doen this? would it be a bad idea, are there better ideas to get more power then this, i could get a whole car with this setup redo the oil seals and what not for probly cheap cheap, lets face it i got the car for free so im ready to make it haul ass... any ideas let me know thanks glade to be on the forum

Welcome nto NF !!! and in order to get more than one suggestion on this post u should post it in the right place. This section is only for introducing urself and for asking questions about NF. As for your idea of swapping engines, be ready for some fab work, u might have to change the electrical system, cause i would guess that the 2.4 will/ does have more sensors and you might even have to change the fuse boxes, atleast thats what i had to do when i swapped my engine. I swapped a 95 for a 2000 and had to change all of the electrical system on my maxima.
