Average Lifetimew miles of a Nissan Altima

I am thinking about buying a 1997 Nissan Altima; it has 200,000 miles on it already. It has had the alt, Timing belt, tune-ups and new tires. What should this cost and what is the average lifetime (in miles) of a Nissan Altima?

So much for people being helpful.

I wouldn't buy a nissan just for the reason that no one can answer a simple question about the cars. Average (approx. would have been nice) miles that a nissan can go before the car dies out. Thank you for all your help. Now I know to buy a Toyota or a Mazda!

You didn't even post your question in the correct area of the forums. I'm not too surprised you didn't get an answer.

People like you are useless. You can find time to reply to a nasty post (as I expected everyone would), but the mere thought of helping someone by answering the original question was beyond reason. I assumed there were mature adults on here to help people I was mistaken. Respond to posts when you are mature enough to have a productive comment. Get a life! Kiddo

I believe I saw plenty of questions referring to maintenance and quality of Nissans in that forum. Funny that you took the time reply to the post that was insulting nissans, yet couldn't take a moment to reply about the quality of Nissans in general? I don't recall that forum being specifically for insulting post, but oddly enough I received responses from not one but two people regarding my insult. I should have known better than to try and get any help off of the internet. You people on these forums are only here to hook up, tell jokes or waste brain cells. You are 29 years old and I would think mature enough to respond with a helpful remark, such as a suggestion as to what forum the question would be better suited for. That was obviously too kind, considerate and mature of an action on your part. Enjoy your Nissan!

P.S. Bought a 2004 Lexus and got a great deal. If it hadn't been for this forum I would have bought that damn Nissan instead. Thanks for the help!

Blah, blah, blah... you posted a vehicle specific question in the newbie forum and it was overlooked. I'm not surprised. Classic case of not reading the forum descriptions before posting. I merely responded in kind to your smart ass post.

I don't care what you choose to purchase, so if you somehow think you're denigrating the members of this forum (or internet users in general) with your comments, go right ahead. It's not like Nissan owns this place so you're not negatively impacting anyone here by buying a Lexus. I own a Toyota myself.
