Newbie from Australia
hi all
I've just purchased a 2nd hand 1989 Nissan Urvan, an E24. It has a lot of mileage on the clock but with a reconditioned diesel on board, I think it has a lot of life left in it.
There are a couple of things I would like to tidy up. The manual indicates some models had a clock - is the clock the same for any other Nissan model?
the front driving seat needs replacing - again does any other seat from any other model suit?
The bottle jack is missing - any suggestions what I can use? the two rods are there.
An inside cover on the passenger side door mirror is missing.
I asked at my local Nissan dealer in Bendigo, Australia, and was told all the items are not stocked new any more, and the prices were out of my budget.
They also indicated there were two models released in 1989 - the last urvan available in Australia was released in July 1989 - according to my dealer. How can I tell which one I have? I checked the compliance plate under the seat but it did not tell me the manufacture date - is there another plate somewhere?
Finally the vehicle is missing a radio/cassette player as well as the cover plate. If some owners in Australia, particularly in Victoria could alert me to where I could find a 1989 model - i've found several earlier models in wrecking yards here - sorry Auto parts recyclers - so that I could obtain some of these parts I would be most appreciative.
Look forward to chatting with other owners in Australia...
Chris
