Anyone do sr20det swaps??? How much??

I am in the process of getting as much info as possible about the sr20det swap, and I was looking for a good place that would do the swap in the NorthEast tristate area, NY-NJ-PA.... Anyone know?? Thank you.

better bang for the buck than a hotshot turbo imo. in the long run you will get a crap load more HP than a simple bolt on turbo......................depending on your base engine. speaking of what car do you have?/engine? is it a b14?

thats your opinion and its respected, but the extend or work and considering he is having someone do it, it will cost him more than 5k, that is the estimate when you do it yourself.. the hotshot kit and the extra money you spend will take the sr20det.. if you get jgycustoms, it iwll cost him around 6500, depending on how much he pays for other parts, which mounts he gets, which radiator he gets, axels, ecu, ignitor switch, etc... while you are pushin almost 190whp with the hotshot (4k) maybe cheaper through jgy, 600 for the ecu and 300 for a good clutch. so for 5k you have bout the same hp, less hassle and more originality.. but it depends on your taste, if you want a bigger aftermarket and a more well known motor, then an sr20det is the way to go

your right. what i ment was if he now has the ga motor i would say if he has the money doe the det swap because the best you will get out of the ga (without major engine work) is about 233hp right? so even tho the det will have less than that it can , in long run, make far! more hp. but if you do not have the ga right now than the det swap may not be for you ($$$ wise)

right now wes is at 250whp and that is without he bored tb, new MAF with reprogrammed ecu, working on a custom manifold, 50lb incjectors fuel rail and some other stuff.. so we will get near 300whp soo... on stock internals.. im guessing he doesn't have the sr20 cuz why would he ask bout the swap, when its primarily the same motor.. just turbo it
