fast turn signals illegal in PA?

one of my friends near harrisburg said they were illegal and that he got pulled over and fined for having them. i just wanted to know if he -or the cop- was right.

Probably is Illegal. Fast moving lights can almost look like strobe which almost looks like emergency vehicle lights

Pretty much true. Anything aftermarket isn't legal. All depends upon which pig you run into whether he will complain or not. Heck I've had a cop pull me over for aftermarket lights(neons) and didn't cite me, he said he thinks they're cool and just wanted to let me know that other cops may cite me for them. So it really varies between pigs.

Pretty much sums it up. Some stuff is easier to get away with than others. Aftermarket lights though are pretty much impossible to get away with. My uncle told me a story where his one friend got pulled over and the cop noticed a light on his traction bar(it wasn't on though). The officer asked him if it worked and he said yes and the officer it was a violation and then he said ok then it don't work and the cop said well then the car doesn't pass inspection cuz you have a light not working properly. If they want to get you they will find a way.

The other thing you have to love is when you take your car into a STATE inspection station, it goes through with no issues, and then a month later you get pulled over by a twp. cop who tries to tell you that something on the vehicle is not legal after the inspection already let it pass. That is bullshit...they should make you have to take it back the station and let them decide.
