Well I know the process and the machinery are not lightweight. They are expensive. Plus I have never heard "HKS extrude honed their intake in house"

Thanks so much for the information guys. I figured that extrusion honing was just like getting a valve job done. That it just requires the good human skills and the machines to do it!
Well, I guess I'll be giving extrude hone a call then. Thanks for the help!

mike k did this on his project 200sx se-r car in scc. he did only the intake manifold i believe, the results were about a 2hp increase. it cost like $400 to do. i don't think it's worth it imo...

Mike did extrude hone a lowport sr20de intake manifold on a 200sx Se-r. There will be differences with different manifolds. He said that extrude hone on a highport intake manifold would show more gains. Of course there is probably a big difference between an sr20de and a ga16. It is kinda costly, $395. But when you have all the bolt-ons and cams etc. It sounds like extrude honing is the next cheap(?) upgrade.
Well all I know is that...Graphs cannot lie!
So when I took a look at Mikes extrusion honing graph. It seems to me that its a good bang for the buck for our Ga16's
So I was wondering. Is this true or am I missing out on something here? Is there something to that extrusion honing graph that I should be aware of?
All we engineers see are numbers and graphs...maybe thats why I'm kind of an idiot at this! Hmmm.....
