qr25 variable intake

Howdy

I know the QR has a variable intake, but i feel it changes much too late, at 5000+ rpm's. since my qr25 happens to find itself in the rather porky confines of an xtrail, it would be great if i could change the RPM "trigger" to 4000, or even 3500 rpmsīs.
how would you do this ? (messing with the ECU is a no-no)

cheers

alfonso

it's been dyno proven that this doesn't work and actually loses power.

changing when it opens would simply shorten the runners and you'd lose the torque effect of longer runners, until 5400rpm or so when the butterfly opens and the shorter runners provide the hp gain when torque falls off up top.

you wouldn't be able to mess with the ECU anyways.
