motor bogging out on 1990 sentra

i have got a 1990 nissan sentra, i got this car for free, as a winter beater, the car has 270 km's on the motor, it passed e-testing without any problems, But i noticed the engine boggs a bit off idle when u press the gas about half way down, the car is a 5 speed, i have changed the cap and rotor and put in new spark plugs and air filter, the car is worse when the engine is cold, but still boggs when warm. also my gas milage is very low, only getting 300 km's off a tank full of gas, something tells me that this car is running very rich on fuel. i think that this would be a great car if i could just sort out this problem!

any idea's would be great thanks!

Try the fuel filter for a cheap fix, otherwise its probaly going to be some stupid sensor that costs 300 dollars crap.

Hmm, I may be punching the air here, but if it isnt the fuel filter, it may be your autochoke? If it's crappy, it wont work properly, and may be closing too much, giving you more gas and less power. Felt any powerdraft since you noticed this?
