Anyone else have a chromatic mirror that is starting to fade around the edges? Looks kinda funny when its in night time use because its got a ring around the edge that isn't effective.

I noticed the same on the outer edges of my wifes 02. (Before we traded it in...)

i'll drop by the dealer and see what they say. Still under warranty.

FYI,

I took the car to the dealer about this and they told me that it is in NO WAY covered by any extended warranty. I assume that the regular 36K mile warranty would have some bearing on it.

Also, the dealer was going to charge me and $86 diagnostic fee to "check out and see" what the problem was. Of course, they mentioned this to me after I had asked them to let me know what charges I was going to incur outside of my extended warranty AND after they had already done the procedure.
