2002 3.5 SE steering issues

First off, "sup everyone?"

First time posting on this board, been an altima owner for 3 years now and this is my first issue with the car.

For 2 days now, the steering will not come back to centre easily by itself and I can hear a clunk/feel a slight play in the steering while the car idles, coming from underneath the driver's side dash. R&P is fine, balljoints are nice and tight. I'm wonderring if the lower steering knuckle is a comon issue with the alti. I've read it can cause the same symptoms as a failing R&P.

Any ideas on the $$ for the lower steering knuckle?...would sure be nice to only have to R&R the knuckle and not the whole R&P.

Thanx in advance people, glad to be onboard !!
