K&N alternative??

First post for me so, hi all! I just bought a 2003 3.5SE and my very first attempt at an upgrade FAILED. The oil in the K@N fouled up my MAF and my engine went into "safe-mode". O-well.
So my question to you all is, is there a "dry" hi-performance alternative to K&N's
stock filter solution?
Thanks and I look forward to learning and interacting with you guys!

Weird! That's the first I've heard of that. I know the MAF is finicky but I wonder if the K&N was over-oiled?

Nonetheless, you can always go with an aftermarket CAI system, there are tonnes of posts about these on almost every Altima forum so look into doing the whole 9. That would be my suggestion.
