Hey everybody, my name is John and Im from the Buffalo NY area. I recently have been trying to research on the 2002-06 3.5l altima's. For the last year Ive been driving a Grand Cherokee and its about time I get a car again. I used to be very into cars. My last car was a 95 BMW 325i (m3 clone), I had a s52 swap as well as some heavy suspension mods and some bolt ons. Before that I had a 94 Honda accord with a built H22a ( Crower stg 2 cams, tit valvetrain, forged bottom end and about every bolt on you could buy).
I now am looking into a 2002-06 altima 3.5 and cant get a straight answer, what is the actual difference between the 3.5 se, and the ser besides the cosmetics? I looked up the 1/4 mile times and the 3.5se is faster? How can that be? Thanks

We were told by our instructors at school is that the SE-R model has about 10-15 horsepower more. This is possible thru a redesign of the intake manifold.

Most notably, besides the cosmetics, is the ~$4000CAD premium. There may be a few more gauges and such but you'll have a hard time finding a 3.5 owner that isn't incredibly happy as-is. The SE-R builds on perfection, but imo there isn't enough to justify the initial cost.
