Greetings. New member here, and about to buy a new 07 Altima 2.5 S. Just thought I'd make my presence known and throw out a few questions to the familiars here.

I sold my Evo recently, heavily modded, for the purpose of practicality (the Evo isn't the most practical car out there, ie. I had to fill my tank every 2 days.. premium). Though I don't expect the Altima to have as much of a crisp shifter and tight clutch as the Evo, the shifter and clutch felt incredibly.. "not there". Any recommended short shifter kits and shifter bushings out there? I did a search for kits around and there aren't much in terms of feedback. Also, any heads-up regarding the current Altima that a Altima newbie should know about?

I know that they do make short shifter kits for an Altima but dont know much about them, they also make clutch systems for it (nopi.com) As far as buying a 2.5...4cyl=good mpg and insurance! But at 175hp and 180ft/lbs its pretty snappy but the 3.5 is WAY better starting car if your wanted to upgrade. Ive got a 03 2.5 (5spd) with a Injen Intake and got ate alive by a Auto 3.5! The 2.5 does give alot of the ricer hondas and such a really good race! Ive beatin so many with mine, plus a couple of eclipse RS, GS!

But if you can handle the extra cash, i would go with the 3.5....it the exact same motor that comes in the 350z!
