Pondering Purchase of 2005 Altima.

Contemplating picking up a used 2005 Altima S. It has decently low miles, and the price is right for me.

I was just wondering, are there any known issues with this particular car, and or thing that I should look out for/be aware of?

Do it, I almost bought a used 2005 but then just went for a new 06 and I love it.

There are some issues with the screws falling out of the power valve inside the intake manifold; there is currently a recall out to address the issue. There have been some issues in the past with the 2.5 burning oil...first they said it was caused by poor ring sealing, then they said it was due to pre-cat media breaking down and getting sucked through the exhaust valve into the combustion chamber and scoring the walls, now they're saying it's due to rings again! Hopefully the issue is straightened out on the 05 models. If you can afford it, the V6 is a much better option, IMO.
