Can I mix DDR RAM?

OK. So I have a single stick of 512 MB PC2700 RAM in the machine now. Is there anything that would prohibit me from using an additional stick of 1GB PC3200 RAM in addition to what I have? Or would I have to ditch the PC2700?

I only wonder about using the two different speed RAM.

your ram runs only as fast as the weakest link.. so you will have "1024+512" running at Pc2700... but if your asking can you use both sticks, yes..
