Hey everybody, im new to texas and here.. Im not sure if you guys know much about Datsun Z's but i have a 1976 Datsun 280Z with a L28ET thats sporting a few things like a Microtech Standalone EMS and a T04B turbo and such. Pure street car but pretty much setup of road racing. I was just wondering if there any clubs or meets around where i am. Im right off of FM1960 west by 45.. anyways nice site here guys and hope to meet some of you Z and Nissan guys!
well there is the Z club of houston but i wouldnt waste your time with them. But i have a 82 280ZX (thats sitting dead in my garage that i might do a V8 swap) and I know a couple of other people who dirve 240z that show up to the meets so I would like to seecome up to the next meet. BTW were you the person up at Baytown raceway park with the the blue z and with the freind with the supercharged miata?

My Z is green with 17inch CCW wheels..
i hope to meet up with some Z guys.. would be fun.

I used to own a 82 280ZX auto 2+2,there were 3 ZX in my family though,a 81(bro),82(me) and 83(inlaw),we love the cars,lots of fun to drive.Now we got like 5 Max in the family,that's right 5,lol.Well welcome to the forum and hope to see you at our meet next time.
I was one of the two older Z's that showed up this weekend. I come out periodically with the HNE guys. I'm also a member of the Z club of Houston, but most of those guys don't drive S30's. If they own them, they are probably non-running. The other guys have S30's in such great shape the only modifications they are interested in are what kind of wax to put on next. Very few daily drivers. We are mostly out of luck. Me and the other Z guy are near Tomball. Not too terribly far from you, anyway. Maybe we could get together sometime this week / weekend. I would love to check out tweaked L28. Might give me some ideas for my future setup (that's on an engine mount in my garage).
The other Z is a 72' with triple mikuni's and is pretty much a track setup like yours. Vintage track setup, anyway.
any local Z or Datsun Z clubs in Houston?
