Heads are done and paid for.
Uh. The heads are here. Reagan promises a 25HP gain across the range just by bolting them in. He says the heads flow really well stock, and it was a bit of a challenge to get a good improvement on the flow, but he finally got it after about 2 hrs on one port. He ended up widening the intake port considerably, and now the intake port looks almost identical to the 3.5 liter intake ports. I showed him a pic of the 3.5 ports, andhe said thats where Nissan found the power for the 3.5 liters. Only thing is, I now have 3.0 heads with 3.5 ports, and a 3.0 lower manifold to make em work. w00t. 25 ponies across the board would put me at 203hp and 208 torque to the wheels. I like that. Now I need to factor in cams, ECU, MEVI, and bored high compression bottom end. I think I may actually hit 350 at the wheels N/A which is my goal. woohooo
I left the heads at the shop. Shane is going to do some final cleaning and polishing, and drop them off to me tonight at the house. I will take pics then.
