Poll:Attending the Woodlands meet

I'm posting this poll to gather opinions. As most know, there is an import car meet in the Woodlands every Saturday night at 8:00. What does everyone think about attending this meet as HNE car club. I would recommend attending once a month, in addition to our regular monthly HNE meets. Its a chance to get HNE recognized with the other clubs and imports in Houston, plus a chance to get together as a group for the second time in a month. I'll talk to David and Chris tomorrow on this idea. Let me know what you guys think.

Mike

I'd be up for it. I think it would be great to have the club meet up there on Sat Nites. I might have to stay as late as 8 on saturdays at work, but I can head up there afterwards.

I'm up for it as well. I go to the woodlands meets quite frequently. Would be nice to clean up the mass amount of domestics there with some nissans.

Wure, why not.. it's a bit of a drive, but it'll be fun..

How's the behavior out there? things generally well behaved, or are there a bunch of ricers out there trying to race anything that moves? I get enough attention from the cops already.. don't need their help.

The last time I went, yes generally well behaved. They don't want to get banned from their weekly meeting place. This meet usually attracts a LOT of cars, most times over 100. Cars are everything from riced out Civics, up to Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo. Lot of variety.

Sometimes I might not be able to make it, but I definately think it would get more participation in the club. It sure couldn't hurt.

Here is something to consider.

Due to the cold weather and shopping season, the imports (and many domestics) attend the Woodlands meet early from 6-7:30. We then head off to Teaworks at 11509 Veterans Memorial.

See this link for pics of the place.

See this link on one of our meets there.
http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...ad.php?t=53733

Check the links out. Teaworks is a shorter drive for most people and gave us a place for drinks and shelter from the cold weather. There are 110 parking spaces and another 100+ spaces under construction. The manager of Teaworks wants us there for meets on Saturday nights.

Teaworks is right by my house. I went to the first meet they ever had, there was like nothing there except just me and my friend's cars, then some nice z's from sgp. I guess it's gotten a lot better. I'll be there tonight most likely.

Was that on a Friday or Saturday night? Our first Saturday night meet was nuts. Too many cars, not enough parking spaces.

It was a friday, a week before the saturday you're talking about I think. It basically just consisted of a lot of kids from my school. Didn't realize it grew this fast. Sounds cool though, just worried a little bit about parking.

Yeah, the place has 110 parking spaces (one would think that was enough). The great thing is that they (same owner) will be building another shopping center next door with another 100++ spaces. I can't wait.

The manager stays open for us til 12. Also, the LAN room will be up and running in two weeks. When they have their gaming tournaments, they will stay open until 2am.

See you there soon!

Here are pics from last night.
