Help! Pls Reccomend a local wrench-Houston

Greetings, I am hoping that you guys can help me. My wife has fallen in love (and dragged home) with a 96 b-14 200sx with 133,xxxmiles

It has a multitude of problems that I am trying to work through, mainly electrical (no blinkers etc) after replacing a multitude of fuses, battery, innition switch and finally alternator I have found the culprit: Oil leakage from the timing chain cover and valve gasket cover. (Old alternator was completely)covered in gunk and shorted it..oh yeah it's an auto and the transmission is possibly iffy.(I have'nt gotten to that yet)

Long story short, I am sure that I should scrap her, but my wife loves the car, but I am in over my head.

Any quotes on a timing chain replacement, and a reccomended Nissan specialist? Should I save and drop a new engine and tranny in? Any reason to save a 1.6L?

thank you,thank you, thank you!

thank you,thank you, thank you.

update

New alternator was killed and replaced today under warranty (was Nissan OEM) Apparently not charging, No electrical at all no wipers, tach, speedo, rad fan etc. All were working prior to alternator change. All fuses are intact, relays ran down. Car runs great but there is a voltage drop on the battery and will run down until the fuel pump eventually shuts off.

Anyone know an electrical specialist?

was this issue resolved or the car is still experiencing problems? I'm curious because i might encounter the same things later on down the road.
