So a friend and myself decided to make a pneumatic cannon tonight .....

this is the cannon

here's what it fires (duct tape)

here's it ready to go

using a velocimeter from a paintball place we measured 1,118 FPS and figured it went a little over a mile .... fun night had by all breaking the sound barrier

Today we're going to into a field and I'll get some videos and post them up once i can get a host

We sent a wet paper towel through drywall, and a D battery through my government book

also it's pneumatic so there are no explosives like the ones that use hair spray etc

today we're going to rid up a compressor so we can get 120 or so PSI instead of the 90 from the bike pump .... so I'll keep you posted it should be funny ... so if you ever come to college station it could be a fun day blowin shit up

Be careful about where you play with this. Not sure, but this might be considered a prohibited weapon. I know it sounds stupid, but there is a possibility. I'll look into it and get back with you.
