Any Nissan Mechanics in Western NY

Hi,
I have done much on my 97 XE, but sometimes I need to tackle issues over my head. For instance, I have a seized speed sensor in my tranny that I hear is not fun to work out as it's really easy to crack rear tranny housing.

Also have a "swirl valve" code and wonder if there is an order in replacing parts, i.e: solenoid, etc.

Am looking for a mechanic in WNY, as my closest dealer is "overcharging & undertalented".

Appreciate a referral and/or advice:

i think u have to try to break the housing .. it is tougher than u might imagine..

most of us r on here because mechanics have (trying to be delicate here) let us down..

these little truck can e very rewarding because they can sometimes be easily repaired..

first go to the parts store and find out what the swirl valve looks like and ask where it goes..

u might be suprised at how easy or hard it is to replace..

i am a diy guy as i think alot of us r here..

so maybe try it urself ..
