Nissan Mechanic in Asheville, NC

I recently purchased a 97 HB and want to get a few things checked out on it. Does anyone know of any good Nissan mechanics in the Asheville area? Thanks for the help.

Although 'do it yourself' is a good answer and there is a lot of worthwhile advice on the posts here, if that's not possible and you don't get a lead on a mechanic (Asheville is a little out of my area)....

Did you take your previous vehicle to an independent garage? If you liked them they would probably be OK with a Nissan or tell you they weren't and recommend someone else.

Ask around to see if someone you know can make a recommendation.

You can always take it to a Nissan dealer. I know they're sometimes somewhat high priced but they have some skin in the game so usually do things right.

Thanks for the input. I have some oil leaking out from somewhere in the front of the engine, and I know someone with more knowledge could figure it out faster than I could. I'll ask around town.

Thanks,

Garth

You have to be very careful taking something to a dealer. They can hammer you with no conscience problems what so ever. I think its best to find a good independent mechanic that is familiar with Nissans. I don't know anything about the Nissan dealerships in Asheville, but I'm not too thrilled about the one in Spartanburg.
