Hogwash

I have an 88 HB. When I turn the ignition key all I here is a click. I jump it w/ jumper cables, connecting to the post on the starter. It turns over fine and starts. Is my starter shot or do I have a connection problem?

I'd start with the battery cable connections. Clean them all off and re-tighten, then get back to us if it still doesn't work.
