Sorry for this dumb question, only had the truck 2 months. My truck did not come with a spare tire nor tire lug tool from previous owner. I do have the bottle jack and this long rod which I assume is used to turn the jack.
#1
Is the spare tire the same size as the stock wheels and tires or is it one of those dinky donut wheels? If it is a dinky donut, can I fit a stock wheel in place of it under the bed?
#2
Does anyone know where I can find new locks for the doors and glove box?
spare will be a stock steel wheel with probably a 195/75R14, crawl underneath and check the size.
door locks etc, look in a junkyard, cheapest, or call the dealer.

Thanks for the info, I'll just grab a cheap Nissan wheel with tire from a local yard. No spare on my truck right now, was missing when I bought the truck, so I had no clues to tell me what size it was.
Yeah I figured I would have to go to the dealer for the locks but wanted to ask around first. If I buy used ones I will find myself right back in the same situation. Off to the dealer I go...
As long as that "lock set" doesn't include the ignition lock/key it might be cheaper that way, thanks for the tip. I'm guessing my ignition lock has already been replaced due to the ignition key looking rather new.
Which key is SUPPOSED to open the glove box? Neither of my keys will open mine...
some vehicles came with a valet key, which only worked on doors and ignition, they may have remade that key instead of the owner's key. you can pop off the plastic cover over the ignition and see if the ignition cylinder is new or not. that will give you an indication of what key was remade.

Well I actually have 2 keys which came with the truck. One key operates the ignition and one key opens the doors. Neither key fits the glove box. The plot thickens!
While you're under the truck, unbolt the spare tire winch and grease it with a good heavy grease. You do NOT want to have that winch jam up on you. It happened to me. It sucked, and I didn't even have a flat tire at the time.
The dealer can make you the right key from your VIN that should unlock your glove box.
Rather than change out your locks, think about remote power door locks. Then you rarely need a key other than the ignition key. They cost less than $100. You can install them in an afternoon, faster if you're not slow like me.

then the ignition switch assy has been replaced.
you can get a lock smith to re-key everything, but that can be $$$

I bought this vehicle with the idea of having few if any power options to give me grief. I'm crazy busy restoring 2 vehicles right now. Just want to be able to open my drivers side door using my key. Right now I have to open the passenger door and reach over to unlock drivers.

Thank you very much for the tip Fred! I'll put my grease gun to good use.

The entire lock set from the dealer is only $121.10
...................
Thanks to everyone for the advice
If I write down the code stamped on the locks (X1234 for example) the dealership will cut me a new key. They also said that most likely someone "popped the lock" on drivers side which broke a plastic clip somewhere. So I will go grab some new stereo speakers and get out my door panel removal tool and see what I can do inside of the doors. I don't mind having 2 keys anyways, I'm rather used to it with the GM muscle cars I work on...
Oldnissanguy I will have to remove the door panel and then FIND the code. I have not taken the door panel off because I can't find my tool which keeps me from busting the clips. Maybe I'll just go buy a box of clips instead...
I hope I don't have to pull out the whole lock in order to find this code. I guess I'm going to find out this weekend
(looks at oldnissanguy's car domain page)
Man look at that shiny paint. I like your choice of mods. Wish mine had the gray interior but the price and timing was right so I swallowed my wishes and bought her.

If you haven't done it already, this might be a case where it's worth a few extra bucks to have the dealer look it up unless you suspect those locks have been changed too.
Thanks for the kind words on my truck. It's like all used purchases, part beauty queen, part trailer trash. Like you say, price and availablilty are usually the winning hand. I wanted a white truck.
