Okay. Im buyin' a hotshot header, my car is a 95' 200sx with one cat, and was wondering about this bolting on with res to the se-r cat i'm getting with the hs header...

Is there a specific version of this cat-back that i must get, or something? I recently looked at the other gb's of the Stromung and noticed that i would need the CA midpipe of this to have it fit with the header. Just to make sure about this...

What exactly would i need to order for the one cat 95' federal with the header, 'cause this is getting confusing, lol.

Thanks.

The only model not to have a catalyc converter (under the car) is the 95-99 1.6 Sentra (Fed.). All 200sx's have cats, all SR20 cars have cats, and all cali. models have cats. Stromung is aware of this, so when you place your order for a 200sx cat-back exhaust, they will send you one with a shortened mid-pipe to allow direct bolt-up to the cat. You also need to order an O2 bung option since you need a place to plug the O2 sensor.

The exhaust is direct bolt-on.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Check under your cars, people. You will see a big oval-shaped object on the piping just after the header downpipe (right under the shifter). If the O2 sensor is installed BEFORE the object, it is a stock resonator and you will not need an O2 bung. If the O2 sensor is AFTER this object, it is the cat and you will need an O2 bung. Be sure to order the O2 bung or you will get a check engine light.
See image (top image requires O2 bung, bottom image does not:

ALSO, make special note if your car is a cali. model. If you do not I will assume it to be fed. This may or may not be important depending on the year and model of your car.

I have 6 orders in my email that I have not read through, I will put up a buyers list in a little.

BE SURE TO SEND ALL ORDERS TO groupbuy@Ninety-9.com

I'm right there with you man, I've been searching past theards getting myself all confused.

I have a '96 Sentra (federal I think) I'm debating wheter to get a hot shot header in the in group buy that just started. So....

With the header I'll need
1. Hot Shot Header
2. Stromung exhaust (with shorter CA midpipe)
3. Resonator option
4. O2 Bung option
5. Hi flow cat (does random techonolgy carry a cat for the 96 B14? It wasn't listed on their website)

Without header I'll need
2. Stromung exhaust (with federal midpipe)

Thanks

that's about right. Random tech does make a good high-flow cat that will bolt up. You can also try an SE-R cat.

federal doesn't apply to SR20 does it? I'll have to check on my O2 sensor placement. Is the pipe stainless?

no, if I got the information, you don't need to resend it. I still gotta go through the orders I received.

Fed/cali doesn't apply to SR20s b/c they all have a single cat under the car. The fed GA16 had a cat built into the manifold and the cali. ga16 has 2 cats (for some odd reason).

Just a quick question. I own a B14 with GA16DE, and want the mid-pipe (2", not 2.25" ) only. I checked the price, but for B14 mid-pipe, it is only showing the SR20DE 2.25".

So, how much is 2" mid-pipe for our GA16DE ? Thanks, 99 SE-L ~

Michael

there are 3 versions of the B14:

GA16DE fed (2" piping, no cat)
GA16DE cali (2" piping, shortened to fit cat) (this includes ALL 200sx's)
SR20DE (2.25" piping, shortened for cat)

you can get these in full exhaust or jus mid pipe.

all B14s are the same price whether you have 1.6 or 2.0. Prices above.

Does that price include shipping?
Also, is it going to ship from Greg or directly from Stromung?
