? on making/redoing a animated gif

Ok. im stumped. trying to make a gif for a new avatar, only redoing one i found on another forum(asked the guy n he said its ok).

i need to know how to resize it as a .GIF to use on here, cause its at 100x81, instead of the limited 80x80 size. Im using Adobe Image ready, and i figured out how to resize it, but it saves as a .PSD file instead of a .gif, and wont let me change file type.

any ideas? hope so cause i really like it

err your not responding to my messages, so I'll do a walk thru...

First open the image in image ready. Click Image and go down to image size. Change it to the size you desire (80 by XX). Now go to "file/save optimized as" that will save it for you in the size you want, just make sure you chose gif format.

for a little more in depth to it, in the window where your image is click the tab that says "4 up". on the right will be a box called optimized... if not open it by going to the item in the bar at the top named "window" and put a check next to optimized. Now you should have 4 images up of your little guy. you can either fool around with things such as resolution, color and lossy using the optimize window. This will allow you to make your image less detailed in order to make the filesize smaller in case they dont allow you to use it due to size restraints. Any other questions feel free to AIM me, ninjacereal. -James

and oh yah, i take no credit for making the gif, just editing it by making it shorter, and resizing it.
