DVD-Mpeg ripper

does anybody know a good program that is free to rip a dvd to a video file? i find some that work with copyrighted movies but not homemade dvds and im trying to do the homemade dvds-video file. and some that do work only give u a 5 minute trial. please help!

I doubt a car forum is the best place to ask this...plenty of sites out there (via Google search) that are encoding/decoding specific.

jeff is right, although, there are no free programs that will give you a good quality, i personally use IMTOO dvd ripper platinum 4, and i have to say, it's absolutely amazing, really simple interface, and fast too.
