Original Engine

How can I tell if my engine has been replaced?
I bought the car used.

checking the VIN on the engine...sometimes its stamped on the block.....other than that, u cant really tell

Ok, first off you have to take off the head, get a good nail polish remover, pour it all over the piston heads, if it turns a silverish-blueish color, than the engine has been replaced!! All kidding aside, I Have No Clue!!

what about motor serial numbers?
Can Nissan tell me the origial #. How can I ask them.

^go to a local dealership and give them ur VIN number and tell them what u wanna find out.
