Ok, so after i sell my S13, i'm looking to either get an S14(95+) or a Non Turbo 300ZX (91+). Now i can get some good deals on both, but i dunno which i like more. I want this car to be quick, but also have some nice show stopping traits as well. I know the non turbo is like 3800lbs or so with 222hp and the s14 is like 2600lbs with 155hp or something. I guess what i wana know, whats the quarter mile on these and stuff. Like with minor mods (at 1st) which vehicle would out race the other? I wana buy whatever one is faster so i dont have to throw as much $$ into it to make it FLOAT. I figured the 300zx would be faster since it is a V-6, but i wanted to see whate everyone thought. Power weight should be about the same.
Not sure what it would take to Turbo a Non Turbo 300 but you said light mods at first so....Guess it depends on your long term goals.

the s14 might handle a little better then a 300zx. i dont think either of these engines N/A respond well to mods. I would give the edge in looks to the 300zx unless you get a s14 with leather. If you ever want to turbo the car i would think the s14 would be cheaper then the 300zx but i am not sure on that.

Well i was thinking the 97-98 front end in looks, or a S15 conversion. I dunno much about the after market support for the 300zx so i figured there is more you could do to 240 to evenually make it faster. I do love the looks of both so i dunno, but i guess whats the 1/4 for the S14 and the Nonturbo 91+ 300zx, maybe thats where i'll make my desision
