Angry Mistakes

Any of you guys ever really screw up when doing a project?

What happened, and what did you do to fix it? Also, got any pics?

I'll start off, i wanted to put in my foglight controller switch next to the fusebox under the steering wheel. I took off the panel, and drilled a PERFECT square hole. I went to put it back in, and F*@&! I realized that there was a metal plate there that protected the cars wiring. I panicked and worked on it for like an hour before having to trim down the entire swictch so it SORT of fits in. The panel is back now, but the switch still sticks out a little like a sore thumb. I;ll try to get pics, but tomorrow i need to go to the junkyard and get this piece ALL over again.
