ACT clutch feelin funny.

I just got a new ACT HD-6 clutch kit and an Unorthodox flywheel installed at the same time. I'm relatively new to high-performance parts so I was wondering, is there supposed to be a looong break in time for a clutch this tough? It's rated for 308tq. When I try to accelerate smoothly in 1st gear, after maybe 1 second, my car starts to jerk like crazy! Is that normal? It doesn't happen in any other gear, just the take-off. When I launch like I'm racing it works wonderfully.

could be your axels. i would also suggest getting some motor mounts, that 6puck will destroy them on hard launches. my boy had a 6puck clutch in his 91 integ and all his motor mounts where gone after a short time. as for breaking it in i would say 500 miles

Energy Suspension makes the insert kit or you can get JWT, place racing motor mounts(whole mount). what kinda mods do you have turbo, nitrous? a 6puck is kinda extreme for bolt ons/daily driver setup

It's pretty extreme for right now, but I'm in the process of preparing it for turbo. The 6puck is just one of the elements necessary for that much power to be going to the ground. I hadn't planned on getting new motor mounts until the turbo was in, but this clutch is much tougher than I expected. What exactly is the insert kit?

its rubber inserts that replace the softer stock rubber that is in the motor mounts. i had the front and rear torque inserts replaced and it was well worth it ($20 ). the throttle response is SO MUCH better. since the motor doesnt move as much, you will feel the enginevibrations through the car a lil more, at idle and on WOT but its worth it good luck

Where can I order the inserts from? I looked at the energy suspension site but couldn't find anything for sentra's or sr20de's. Are they one of the universal sets? Link me up, man!
