Question headlights bulbs?

this is probaly a stupid question but what are the best headlight bulbs to buy without converting to HID. i dont really like the way regular bulbs look and those generic APC hyper white bulbs you buy at auto part stores are a joke. there so dim ,you cant see anything. i was thinking about trying out those silverstars but there pretty expensive and im not sure if there worth the money.

Silverstars are definitely the best bulbs for the money. If you want quality bulbs, they are the cheapest. Another good brand is PIAA but you will pay a lot more and I don't think they are all that better than the Silverstars. I have run the Silverstars and PIAA ion fog lights for the past 8 months and they have been great.

Are the silverstars just a really bright light bulb or do they give of a sorta blue-ish tint like a HID conversion would? I've thought about getting some of these, but was wanting more of a bluish tint and didnt know if these would be what im' lookin for.

both. silverstars are brighter and give off a slight blue tint. its a huge improvement over regular headlight bulbs. PIAA's are better but definatly not worth the money. i went through 4 sets in 1 year. good thing the place i got them from exchanged them for me cause piaa doesnt have a warranty for their headlight bulbs.

From what I've read and seen, silverstars, although expensive, give the best output for the OEM design.
If you want more light on the ground you have two choices:
1) HID duh. But not the bulbs either a full conversion or
2) buy accessory lights. Not wal-mart fogs, but real Hella Micro DE. You can't find a better beam pattern for the money. Or just get like a Catz HID low beam setup that is external. It looks like a fog light, but isn't.
Look at my HID link in the cosmetic section to see the difference between OEM reflector and Hella D2S reflector.
Later tonight I'll go show you the beam pattern of my Micro DE's and my FF200 driving lights.

Ok,
I put a beam thread in the general section. If someone wants to give me a silverstar for a test so I can line up all the beams let me know (cuz that'll never happen).
