How come nobody recognizes pre 88' 200sx's?

I got an 87 200SX Its an VG30e 3.0 liter engine, 5 speed, rearwheel drive. This car is quick, not fast but quick. I want to turbo the damn thing but I am having trouble finding any kind of info on it. I realize the 300zx's came turbo and I am looking for a donor car to get the parts off of. The only website I found was someone puting a vg30et in a maxima, some one must have put one on one of these 200sx's? Any info or help any of you guys could give me would be greatly apreciated.

I've seen one of those my entire life, and sadly no one knows much about them. If you haven't tried other sites yet you could try www.240sx.org or www.freshalloy.com If you have already done so sorry, but that's all I can think of since I myself know nothing about this car.

i think those cars are s12, right? so maybe the 240 guys will know a lil more. didnt they have a turbo option? i think it was the 3.0 that had a turbo on it, not sure.

Nahh the 3.0 never came turbo from what i read, only a select few of the 4 cyl did? I will check out those websites and see if the 240 guys know any thing... thanks for your help guys.

It shouldn't be that hard to do. If the ports match from the 300ZX manifold to your car then you can have a turbo'd car. Try looking for a late 80's turbo 300ZX. That might fit better than a 90-up 300ZX. Good luck. If you do it, put pics, time-slips, and dyno results.
