ok... before i say anything.. i dont want to hear anything super biased like "nissan always" or anything like that.. it's not the brand of the car.. it's... well the car O_O and what you plan on using it and how much $$ your gonna spend... and also your experience... So.. i've read up alot... and still at a loss... im turning 18 in a week or so... i own a 92 mustang 5.0, and a 96 eclipse.. im gonna get rid of both and get a new car.. i plan on using it as a daily driver, and some racing/ messing around with alittle drifting.. but i dunno which car to get... i have about 20k to spend and need to find one that's 1)reliable, 2) sporty 3) fast 4) looks good =D.. what are some pron's/cons about a,
1) 91-94 nissan 240sx with a sr20det motor
2) 93 mazda rx7 converted to single turbo
3) 94-96 3000gt vr-4
and please... no sided opinions just offa the brand name..
i'd go the RX7, it will probably be better and be more fun, or you could go the 240SX which is still a nice kit of car. the RX7 will probably produce more power without touching it, as it has the turbo and therefore go quicker... its up to you, but i would go with the RX7 or the 240Sx, not the 3000gt

thats true about the rx7 putting out more power... but like i said.. i have 20k to put into one... and the rx7 would be 20k... just to buy it.. then 20k to put into a 240... so i really dunno O_O since as far as power/drift goes there pretty equal.. i guess it's more on daily driving? :S
Irondale, Missouri :S... it's down in the sticks... btw, this is my first turbo car i've owned... is there like, any regular maintence or things i need to check all the time like there is with the rx7? O_o
nope just the same stuff you would normally check....
get a turbo timer if it doesnt already have one...
do a coolant flush and use redline water wetter and it will lower the temps alot...
DO NOT USE redline heavy shock proof transmission fluid.... it will eat the copper synchros in your gear box and render it useless... however... if you are gonna be replaceing the gear box anyway then use the redline heavy shock proof until you replace it your shifts will be alot smoother as your synchros turn to mush
try to keep the heat under the hood as low as possible,,, the more heat the more it will affect cyl #6... a very common problem with RB motors is cyl #6 because it gets the most amount of heat, as well as it doesnt get as much air/fuel as the rest of the cyl's
well, the motor stays pretty cool.. theres even these high performance plugs that stay cold? it's weird.. and i have a gauge for the air flow.. its pretty high..., ill have to look into the coolant flush.. and the dude has been using royal purple every 3k miles.. and Q.. turbo timer? never seen, or heard of one... all i really know is there's a Apex box thingy on the dash, that shows me most of the motor things, like the rpms, speed, temp, water pressure, knock, air flow, and alot of other useful things ^_^.. but i dont really know what it should be running at? O_O im new to the turbo thing... hahah
the apexi is a SAFC most likely... but it could also be a AVC-R
a turbo timer will keep your car running after you turn it off so that the turbos and oil inside them can cool off which will extend the life of your turbos, your oil and ultimatly your engine... very very cheap mod...
and sorry i keep saying turbos... im just used to my GTR32
well, the 240sx i got doesnt have very much room... at all O_O, but somehow he got it all in, with the ac, heater, and power steering O_O... its just... no room at all
