Smile problem with car

hi all.
I am new to this type of thing but have a problem with my Nissan Pintara 1989 and am hoping someone out there can help me. When driving my car has started to surge which makes for a very uncomfortable drive. I have replaced the fuel filter and all the spark plugs but it is still doing it. unfortunately I am not mechanically minded but my neighbour is. we went on hols down the coast we came home but the car is still on hols as we were not to keen on bringing it home then have it colapse on side of road. hope someone out there can understand this and give me a few ideas for me friend to start looking at what the problem is.

thanks for your help in advance

This happened with mine. For me it was the EFI system gone out of its timing thanks to some unprofessional accelerating from the previous owner.

I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, but i have to ask this question.

the spark plugs on my car are saturated with fuel causing the car to not start
I recently had a rebuilt motor and tranny installed, i had the fuel injectors cleaned the first time this started to happen then i was told it needed an idle air control motor, installed it still have the same problem. then i was told it was the fuel pressure regulator, replaced it still have the same problem. the idle is not stable either it is sometimes low and sometimes high. the check engine light is not coming on.

the car will not start while the plugs are wet but once they dry out it starts fine. the car seems to run fine other than the idle fluctuating between high and low. it will run about a week and a half then it will flood out again.

The "New Member Forum" is not a place to post tech questions. Read the 3rd sticky!
