Wanted to vent ... GA16DE/battery
So, a couple of us ( 30 guys ) decided to go out for a all out paintball war.
Hoped in my car ( check my sig if your bored ), monday morning and drove out to a local sports place and picked up around a 2 big boxes of paintballs....walked out , jumped in my car, and went to turn it....click click click ....was like WTF !
So it turns out my battery was dead ...wooO ! And everyone I had available to call wouldnt pick up or was at work/school.
All the accessories worked, but it just wouldnt turn over...mind you, it had been sitting all night, and nothing was left on(learned that the hard way a few times). Started up fine, no hesitation or anything when i left my house intially.
Some stranger saw me with the hood up, and gave me a jump ( was a F-350 ). Let it sit on my battery for awhile then cranked it over and he took off, and I sat there making sure it charged up a little bit ....well, my girl is sick, and i was in the same parking lot for a jamba juice....turned the car off and went and got her one to drop off......click click click.....CRAP ! It just wont hold a charge, water levels were fine to.
WALKED to my local auto place to get a battery....and while im at it, i went all out and got a optima yellow top D34/78 since Ive wanted one anyways...now i have a reason. Well what does the GIRL ask me at the counter....year, make and model ? HHAHAAHAHAHA !! Its a freakin battery !
So she told me they dont have anything listed for my car....but I know it fits cause of NPM, thankyou !
And she wouldnt sell it to me, cause she said it would not fit.....so I spoke with the manager cause she was being a B**ch and got a discount on it...cost me about $145.....walked, yea WALKED back with the battery, only to figure out, that last time my connections were bad, I cut the wire and attached a new terminal connector....therefore shortening the wire, and now the wires dont reach, great ! Oh yea, did I mention, I snapped the negative wire terminal connector in half and the bolt that secures I broke in half also ......well needless to say, I walked back....got a replacemtn negative wire and connector, replaced that hooked the battery in, and SUCCESS !
Drove back to the auto parts place, and honked my horn, popped the hood...and when that girl came out I said..... " LOOK ! IT F'ing FITS !! aint that some shit !! " ....and the only reason I did that was because A) she was fighting me because of what the computer said, which I can understand.... but, she was acting all high and mighty because she worked in a parts store and her stupid ass badge said parts specialist.....even though I told her, the battery will work just fine since ive researched it, and read it like 50 million times. I called our local 'racer' parts place ( tognotti's ) to see what they would say for kicks....and they recommended the 51 series because it's suggested for imports....but they told me the D34 and D34/78 would NOT fit. LOL ! I told them it did, and they argued over the phone with me for like 15 minutes, and I talked about my story, and the guy still said I was full of $h*t, so I told him, if I came down and proved it fit, without modification, whats instored for me .....he said a 50$ giftcard ...I said are you positive ...said yea, went down, showed him, wouldnt pay up ....told the manager, guy said, " no record of that promise" as he smirks....well just my luck, a higher up manager if you will, was around and had heard the cashier on the phone with me, and heard and saw what the other manager said....walked over to the register, swiped a gift card, walked back and gave me one for $75 and said " thanks for your buisness, and the info, ill have that entered into the computer " and walked off without a care in the world.
So a really crappy day, turned into a day of savings !

P.S. On the way are the lightning audio storm battery connectors and 1/0awg storm wire & storm ground connectors.
P.S.S. our paint ball war rocked ! And one guy was sittin back drinking a beer after about a good 2hrs of play.....shot the can out of his hand from about 30 yards....was hilarious !
