White smoke after replacing brake pistons?

Hi, I have a 1987 Nissan Pickup truck with the Z24 engine 4 cylinder, fuel injected.

My uncle came home with it, and he was going to replace the brake pistons because the brake master cylinder (not the brake booster) was leaking, and the pistons were worn. So he replaced them, but now when the car starts up, white smoke pours out of the exhaust. Any ideas? It doesn't smell like oil...in fact it doesn't have much odor at all. It smells BARELY bitter...but its hard to smell it. Just pure white smoke...the head isn't leaking any oil, no oil in coolant, and the car was working fine before replacing those pistons. Anybody have ideas? I checked the vacuum hose that leads from the brake booster to the intake...nothing in there and its completely dry. I was thinking maybe it was sucking in brake fluid.

Here is a picture of the car while running at idle (revving it just produces more white smoke):

Another picture when the car is off:

Any ideas? Thanks!

That smoke has nothing to do with the brakes.

just how hard was your uncle driving it when he brought it back?

that's not brakes.. that's toasted rings or something ugly.

try driving it around for a little while and see if it goes away. if the engine and exhaust got filled with oil somehow, then it will smoke for 20-30 miles.. but should get better and go away.

if it doesn't go away, hit your uncle up for a new engine.

Thanks Matt, I'll try that. But man, the smoke is thick lol...it can easily blind someone behind me. I'll try to find some open space to run the car for a while. Thanks everybody for helping me.
