I was curious about something. All resources list the gas tank capacity of a 97 Sentra at 13-13.2 gallons. I've had the car for about a month and obviously whenever the gauge shows "E" or the light comes on I fill up the tank all the way. But the meter always shows that I put in 10-11 gallons to fill it up. Does that mean that even though it shows the tank empty I still have about 2 gallons left?

Most cars have a 2-3 gallon "reserve" in the tank in case you drive the car until it's running on fumes!
