Aftermarket Cams

Hello all,
i have 3 questions to pose:
1.Does putting aftermarket cams on a vehicle worth it?
2.Do aftermarket cams improve the car's performance?
3.If the vehicle already has e-manage installed and tuned does the ecu or the e-manage need retuning when installing aftermarket cams?
Thanks

To avoid misunderstandings please, please answer only what i am asking for.
Also my questions are general they do not refer to a vehicle specifically

That depends entirely upon what you want from the engine. If you're a beggar, you have no business even thinking on this subject. If you're Bill Gates' fourth cousin from a previous marriage, sure. Meaning, if you have the money, buy the cams.

Absolutely.

That depends upon how radical the new cam(s) is/are compared to the cam(s) the ECU was tuned for. For example, JWT S-4 cams for the SR20 can be run on the stock ECU. If you add the JWT daughterboard, you get a much smoother idle and a little better top-end due to spark management.

Thanks. Also i'd like to ask another thing.
Does the vehicle lose it's reliability when replacing the cams?Is there any danger during this procedure?
