Why dose it shake and shudder when cold ?
My mom has a 1998 Nissan Altima GXE. So far we've fixed several things trying to remedy this problem. ( expensive things ! ) If you let the car warm up for about 5 minutes before driving it there doesnt seem to be a problem. ( starts up fine and idles in park fine). If you try to "drive" it cold it shakes and kind of shudders for a block or two , then clears up. The trouble light is not on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seems that the shops are just throwing parts at it . Please help.

PS. Could it be the idle air control valve or something related to open / closed loop?
