i have gotten all bolts out but one..it is on the right hand side of alternator..i tis freezing outside and i am wondering if that might be part of my problem..i have tried just about everything..prying and W-D 40/ liquid wrench.. this is my first time at trying to change an alternator and im scared that if i reef on it to much i might just mess something up...should i just tow it to a garage????..i really feel i could fix it if i got this damn bolt out...any suggestions would be great thanks KIM

Spray some WD-40 around both ends of the bolt. Continue to turn the bolt with a ratchet / socket. Usually the bolt will continue to back out of the bracket. I can certainly empathize about the cold so you might consider getting a pair of Mechanix gloves at an auto parts store or lined work gloves. A small heater helps if you can't put the car in a garage as well.
