Any advice for getting rid of 93' altima

I just realized my head gasket is bad and/or I have a cracked head because I am burning anti-freeze on a 93' Altima with 150k on it. Problem is, I have invested many new parts over the last two years and am wondering what to do to get the most value out of it. New parts include, starter, distributor, rear brake disks and calipers, exhaust system, waterpump, thermostat, tires and a stereo receiver.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should do? Looks like blue book is around $1,200 if selling to a private party.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I would not be able to tackle putting in a new motor myself and don't know any friends with this skillset either that could help me. So I am kind of stuck between a rock and a broken Nissan. What is the going rate for a used Altima engine......... give or take a few hundred bucks?

Find a good reputable shop to give you some quotes on the installation. You should be able to price out a motor on your own. You need the labour quote. If you search through this forums you might be able to find more information on replacing a motor

I would have the engine tested to find out where the issue is and just ask for an estimate. Then turn down the authorization for the repair and consider whether you want to repair it or sell it. I recommend pulling the stereo and selling it for 5-6 hundred since you don't have much of an alternative to offset the cost of the parts.
