clutch interlock/position switch or somthing else???
let me start out by saying that i just had my slave and master cylinders replaced. now my 94 altima wont start. the clutch position switch seems to be the problem because it wont stay in when i reach down and push it in. i tried buying a new one and putting it in and the car still wont start. this leads me to think A:its not the switch but maybe somthing still wrong with the clutch, B: maybe somthing electrical since it wont stay in(when i was having problems with the clutch and the clutch finally went out the car wouldnt start either but i was able to push the button in with my finger and it would stay in and i could start the car right up.) so now im stumped. ive checked all the fuses and they are all fine. if it was the starter i think the switch(clutch position switch) would still stay in when pushed. maybe somone can please please please stear me in the right direction here. thanks in advance!
let me also add that the cruise conrtol went out aa few days before the car wouldnt start up and i did some research and found that the interlock switch and the cruise kind of work hand in hand together. im really starting to think that my clutch pedal needs to be adjusted but that would solve the problem of the switch not staying in.
