Heat Shield Problem

I hope Im not breaking any rules, but my 96 200sx has a heat shield problem. i need to take it off but ive heard different ways to do it. some say to do it while it's warm and use gloves so that you dont rip off more than just the shield. others say do it when its not warm, any suggestions?

You can remove it while it's cold; no big deal! Most of the bolts/screws will be rusted severly so if you can get a hold of a torch, it'll make the job a lot easier.

thank you, would it just fall off if i dont mess with it, cuz that would probably mess other shit up
